The IASSIST Fellows Program is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for financial support to attend the IASSIST 2014 conference in Toronto [http://www.library.yorku.ca/cms/iassist/], from data professionals who are developing, supporting and managing data infrastructures at their home institutions.
Please be aware that funding is not intended to cover the entire cost of attending the conference. The applicant?s home institution must provide some level of financial support to supplement an IASSIST Fellow award. Strong preference will be given to first time participants and applicants from those countries currently with insufficient representation at IASSIST. Only fully completed applications will be considered. Applicants submitting a paper for the conference will be given priority consideration for funding.

The PAM International Membership Award will be presented by the SLA-PAM Division to a librarian from the Developing World. As a member of SLA, the winner will have the opportunity to participate more fully with colleagues in this Association.
The purpose of the award is to provide an opportunity for librarians from the developing world to be active members of SLA and of SLA-PAM.
Nominations are to be submitted by 31 October to the PAM IRC incoming chair, and the award recipient will be announced in November.

The purpose of the FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians is to provide financial assistance to ensure the presence and participation of a foreign librarian at the AALL Annual Meeting (American Association of Law Libraries). Foreign attendees enrich AALL events by sharing global perspectives for the benefit of all participants.
The FCIL Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians for the July 12-15, 2014 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, Texas provides the following support:
- A waiver of the AALL Annual Meeting full registration fee.
- A grant of a minimum US $2,000 to assist with accommodations and travel costs.
Deadline: The Chair of the Selection Committee must receive all applications by November 30, 2013. The Selection Committee will not consider late or incomplete applications.

It is our great pleasure to announce that the Stichting IFLA Foundation has made available funds to support 10 colleagues to attend our IFLA World Library and Information Congress in Singapore.
Successful candidates receive support in the form of Congress registration and a subsidy towards travel, accommodation and additional expenses for a maximum total of EUR 3.000.
Additional expenses need to be covered by other sponsorship or by candidates themselves.
Eligible are those:
- who are a first time attendee to the World Library and Information Congress
- and who are a member of their National Library Association and whose application is supported by that Association in the form of a letter.
Applications should enclose:
- motivation of the professional benefit of attending the conference (max 200 words)
- support letter from National Association
- estimate of the total cost (incl. airfare and accommodation)
